About Us

Since our inception in March 2001, everyone at Download2me has prided ourselves on providing great quality downloads in the easiest, most convenient way possible. We aim to present the best, and most popular downloads chosen and rated impartially by our editors and members of the general public.

Unlike many download sites, our editors do not choose software as a 'top pick' simply because buying the software will give the webmaster of the site a nice little revenue stream. We pick the software title because we have downloaded the software, used it, and genuinely feel that other users will enjoy the same software in the same way.

We relaunched Download2me.com in October 2005 to take advantage of the new, custom written front end which now forms the basis and foundation of our site. We spent many months designing and devloping this software. Working with a team of slightly scary, geeky looking blokes to ensure the very best, end user experience was achieved.

We know that the site still isn't 100% perfect and aim to improve and develop the site further as time goes on. To do this, we'd welcome all feedback from all of our visitors in relation to any aspect of the site which you think could be improved.

To keep our 'most popular' and 'top rated' information relivent and upto date, the top rated and most popular software titles listed at the bottom of every page are the most popular and top rated downloads during the last 'rolling' seven days. This ensures that any new software titles added have as good a chance as being deemed the most 'popular' as those that were added many months ago.

When you are on our index page or one of our more generic pages (such as our search results page which covers many categories), the software will be the top rated and most popular software across all categories within the last seven days.

As you start to browse through all of the categories listed within download2me. You'll note that the software listed changes to the most popular and top rated software within the category your viewing.

This way you can easily see what other people are downloading and rating in the category that your interested in. You can still view the most popular and top rated downloads of all time by clicking the appropriate links at the top of each page

We encourage all developers to list their software with us. Developers can submit a pad file or add software in the more traditional 'manual' way. Before submitting software please ensure you view our Terms of Use. Please note in particular that we will not accept any software deemed to contain spyware or adware.
